20 Random Questions
I am currently sitting in my sister’s office, and I noticed she had a book called, 3000 Questions About Me. I thought this would work as a fun prompt for you, fellow reader, to get to know me through a series of random questions. So…
Let’s chat about me through 20 random questions.
1: Name a wish that you make again and again.
I can’t say. For whatever reason, I truly believe that wishes do come true when you make a wish from blowing on a dandelion, on a fallen eyelash, throwing a coin into a fountain, when you see a shooting star, on 11:11, etc. Which also leads me to believe that wishes don’t come true when you reveal them. This wish that I continuously make again and again has come true multiple times for me, but because it’s still something I will continue wishing, it will forever remain a secret… I added one more wish recently, but I can’t reveal that either since it has yet to come true. When I was younger, I did repeatedly wish for a golden retriever, though. It came true. Her name is Summer.
2: What do you try to avoid at all costs?
Watching movies or shows that have anything to do with paranormal activity and psychics/palm readers. Oh, and people who drizzle ketchup on top of their french fries.
3: Have you ever cried at a movie?
Yes. If it’s a movie about love, 99% of the time I will cry a river.
4: What’s the funniest question you ever asked your parents when you were younger?
“Would you still love me if I had a golf club stuck in my butt?”
5: How do you feel about getting older?
Not going to lie, currently a bit scared.
6: What do you like on your toast or biscuit?
Avocado, red pepper flakes, and honey.
7: Have you ever judged a book by its cover?
Yes and it’s funny because a lot of my favorite books have very ugly covers.
8: What do you find ethereal?
Open fields of nature, ceilings and architecture in Italy, and clouds (especially the ones that hold the soft colors from a sunset).
9: What would be the best exotic pet?
A whale. Whales are my all-time favorite.
10: What do you daydream about?
Anything and everything. All the countries I have yet to visit, the awesome dream I had the night before, foods that I am craving, what I’d do if Timothée Chalamet bumped into me while I’m out alone, crossing paths again with people I have met during past travels, the most delectable panna cotta I had in Venice, love, living in Hawai’i, living in Italy, past memories that have made me extremely happy, etc. I’m a big daydreamer.
11: Have you ever shamed anyone, and if so, for what?
Yes, a long time ago. It was my sister for making a butter sandwich.
12: Have you ever gotten lost in a maze?
No, but when I was a kid I got lost in Costco and cried.
13: Do you have a high level of curiosity, and has it hurt or helped you?
Yes. 110% it has helped me. Being curious is what helps me warm and open up to people quickly, making it a lot easier for me to form connections with new people I’ve just met.
14: What is one thing you hope to do before you die?
Go to Ibiza and play “I Took a Pill in Ibiza” by Mike Posner.
15: Does looking on the bright side help you?
Yes as long as I am wearing sunglasses.
16: Do you believe in taking leaps of faith?
Absolutely. I have a tattoo on my neck, it’s the word “FEAR” mirrored—”the best things in life are on the other side of fear.” There has never been a time where I regretted taking a leap of faith.
17: What sound relaxes you?
Guitars and rain.
18: In your opinion, what song is the most annoying ever?
That song with a female singer and it goes, “This is my fight song…take back my life song…” I don’t even want to look up who the artist is. I’m assuming it’s called “Fight Song” (I just looked it up, it’s by Rachel Platten). I really…do not like that song…
19: Have you ever rescued an animal? If so, did you keep it—or take it to a shelter?
We found a lost dog out in the rain once. Yes, we kept the dog and I named him Lucky. For whatever reason after about a week of having him, he would not stop humping everyone and everything… at least he was cute.
20: Can you live with more intention?
Yes. This is something I thought about a few months ago—I told myself I wanted to live my life with more intention. I want to put my time, energy, and love into people and things that are worthwhile. I want to indulge in the present moment because time can feel fleeting. I want to connect with new and familiar faces so that I can constantly learn new ways to love. I hope that I will be able to get the most out of this life by doing so.
